phuket after the tsunami

sorry for the late post! i've been so caught up with work since i came back from phuket and had absolutely no time to do anything else. now that i've found some time, on this lazy sunday morning, i thought i had better sort out my holiday photos and put up this entry. :)

this is my third trip to phuket in less than 1.5 years! what can i say? the diving is absolutely fantastic, the food is yummy and the people? so friendly! we stayed at sai rougn residence, as we did the last time round - a small boutique apartment-styled place on a hill, just off the main patong beach stretch in case the tsunami decides to strike again. rather nice place but of course, banyan tree is much nicer! this trip, we had a 2 + 1 + living room unit... very spacious!



this trip, i tried out another frequently visited day trip site. viz was pretty good but not much interesting fishes to see. lots of corals though. unfortunately, i have a entry level camera that doesn't do justice to the underwater world... so enjoy these few shots. in case you think that blue star like thing is very nice... its not! its known as the crown-of-thorns and it is said to destroy coral reefs so divers don't really like seeing them. occasionally, we'll have operations to have them removed from our beautiful underwater world.
