golf in port dickson... and....
be warned... this will be a long entry. we set out to play golf in port dickson on sunday morning to avoid the holiday travellers (tues and thurs being public holiday) so traffic wasn't that bad... we took the second causeway (again, so to avoid the traffic)... all in all, it took us about 30 mins to get across the causeway on both sides. not too bad... we arrived at port dickson after three and half hours (with toilet and refuelling breaks along the way)
we were planning to stay two nights at one of the local country club... but horrors! when we reached there, the rooms were not ready despite the fact that we arrived an hour after the scheduled check-in time (some group did not check out on time) so we had to hang around the lobby. after an hour, the receptionist gave us the key to our rooms. more horrors! the room was old and run-down... the furniture there is probably older than i am!! worse! the flush in parents' room is spoilt! obviously, me being so nice... i did not take photos of the place. otherwise, u will all know which country club it is! hehe... definitely not what i expected. port dickson is not even cheap to begin with (other than the rooms which we paid rm$79)... we had seafood lunch and dinner (respectively costed us rm$140 and rm$85, if i recall correctly). not very cheap at all... disappointing!

anyway monday morning, we played golf... did not take many photos there (nothing very nice to take leh)... and after the first nine holes, we decided to take a break to have breakfast... guess what's for breakfast?? porridge, mee goreng (fried noodles), some bread and jam... where's my continental breakfast!?!? feeling very disappointed with the resort... we decided that... we were going to check out after golf!! to find a nicer place to rest our tired bodies and we did!
we left port dickson and drove to malacca... the journey took approximately 45 mins coz we took the wrong turn. when we arrived in the town area, we were stuck in a traffic jam! HORRIBLE! we were stuck at the same area for at least 30 mins before we managed to get out of the jam... and we found hotel equitorial, located near all the historical sites, which is really nice! it had a nice view of the straits of malacca... and its located near the shopping mall!! mostly importantly, it was quite a good deal; the room cost us rm$198++ but includes rm$88 credit per room that we used for lunch and breakfast the next morning.

we spent the night in malacca and visited the historical places on tues morning... after that, it was home sweet home!
