lousy service
I went for lunch together with my godsister at an Italian cafe at Bugis Junction (name shall be with-held). We waited for more than 45 mins for the food to arrive. For a busy cafe with a lunch-time crowd... we definitely would be able to empathise with them. However, the cafe was not even 50% filled. Starved for food, we did not even bother arguing. Unfortunately, the food presented to us disgusted us even more. Even my 'all-time favourite' tiramisu could not save the day. To make matters worse, the assistant manager raised his voice at me when I tried to relate the incident to him. I am appalled by his behaviour and the entire unpleasant which left a strong distaste in my mouth. I shall always think twice before stepping into this cafe again.
This is just one of the many bad experiences I have had with the service industry here in Singapore. For Singapore to consider tourism as one of her core industry, something had better be done about the service standards - quick! before we lose our appeal to tourists. Or maybe, I did not spot blond hair nor speak with an accent...
